Royal Destinie is Destinie's beautiful daughter by the German Hanoverian stallion Rotspon. She was born in the wee hours of April 29th, 2001. From the start she had an exceptionally outgoing, sweet temperament, super gaits and an excellent conformation. She and her stablemate Wisteria went their new home in spring 2002, Joyce Mitchell's Square Halt Farm in PA.
Royal was praised at her American Hanoverian Society keuring for her conformation, balance and gaits. The only filly that made a higher impression was her stablemate Wisteria, Rubizza's daughter by Wolkenstein II.
We were thrilled with this cross. Her topline, neckset, front legs, and gaits were an improvement on her Mom's. She has the most outgoing nature of all the foals we have had -- and that is really saying something, since most of our babies are people lovers! She has a lovely uphill way of bouncing into the trot and a wonderful canter. She should have marvelous potential as a dressage horse and/or top notch brood mare. Oh, and, yes -- she did turn gray. As a coming three year old she was about 16.1 hands and had much presence.
Only other breeders can understand how gratifying it is to be connected again with a horse that they bred and the lost touch with for a time. Royal Destinie was my first homebred filly's first foal. She sold as a yearling and then sold again two times before landing in her current home.
By serendipity alone I found her. She is now owned and adored by Amanda Paris of North Carolina. Royal and Amanda are a match made in heaven. Royal is schooling Third Level, has her changes and has been quite successful in NC in dressage. According to Amada, her 2008 end of the year awards include: first in second level NCDCTA HOY, 3rd in first level states, 2nd in second level states, and 5th in the Hanoverian Society for first level. Good going Amanda and Royal!!!
Obviously the love is mutual
The shoes say it all!
