Home Again Farm — 2006 News

On Sunday, April 9th, Rohanna presented us with a lovely bay filly, Dominique, by Don Schufro. She had the quickest birth I have ever seen. Mama and baby are doing well. Below is a first baby pic of the little darling. Many more on her page.

Wintermaske had a lovely bay filly, Soliloquy, by Stedinger on my birthday, April 14th. Winter and baby came through the event with no problems. Winter is being a wonderful mother. We are so very thankful for another safe foaling. The filly is very elegant and modern. Below are pics of her at 12 hours old.

Diva presented us with a gorgeous black colt by Florencio. Here is a few hours old Flamboyant. See much more on his own page.

All the mares have been bred. We await pregnancy checks to be sure of how kind the breeding gods have been to us in 2006.

Most exciting on the breeding front is the hope that Rubizza will conceive and hold a pregnancy for the first time since 2003. My vet Randy Emmons worked far beyong the call of duty on this project. Stay tuned.

Wonderful World, Rubizza's second daughter, has begun showing in recognized shows. She has had scores in the mid 70s at First Level. Bravo to her and to her owner patti Thompson who is bringing her along slowly and correctly.

Wintermaske's two year old daughter, Ballerina, has been out and about at breed shows with her owner. She has show three times and scored 80% each time. She is almost a clone of Winter. We are so proud of her. She is pictured in the three shots below.

We hosted our fifth and largest ever American Hanoverian Society inspection October 2nd. Click here to read the entire report and see pictures from that very big day.

The breeding season is over with mixed results. Wintermaske is in foal to Stedinger again. Miraculously, Rubizza is in foal to Fabuleux. This is her first viable looking pregnancy since 2003, so to say that we are delighted is a terrible understatement. Diva had a huge follicle that did not mature well, so she is open for the year. Rohanna decided that she wanted a year off as well.
